Day 15: 25 January 2012

1. Revision of yesterday's paragraph with my sample in view.
2. Journal on a time you realized you were wrong a little too late.
3. Notes to prep Creon's decline.
  • Tragic Hero Definition
  • Creon's decline in power, logic; logic was the prevailing cultural value. (ill-logic was received in a manner similar to how we look at racism)
  • Epiphany and Catharsis
4. Read the Exodus
  • the hero has to watch the effect of his actions
5. Choose 5 quotes which mark Creon's increasing lack of logic.
  • woven with explanation
When Creon says that “Polyneices…is to have no burial,” he is beginning his reign with a violation of the gods’ law (I, 39-40).
